GB Gifts is an online retailer of discounted cosmetics, candles, gifts, sweets and chocolates. Their ethos is to offer well-known brands at discounted prices. To do this, they are always updating products to meet British and international demand.
The vision of GB Gifts was to integrate several high traffic eBay, Amazon, and Tesco stores together with their existing Legacy EKM Powershop. After some in-depth research, they chose Linnworks as their order management system.
GB Gifts main goal was to implement a centralised hub alongside stock management and order assignment via a custom ruleset. Once in place, it would save their employees hundreds of man hours on time-consuming tasks.
Once the project details were agreed, we added their preferred couriers to the system – including MyHermes, DHL, and Royal Mail – which could then be assigned to future orders.
To help with the branding, we designed custom invoices which could be printed and shipped with each order. Pick lists were also implemented to make their order fulfilment process more efficient.

GB Gifts already had a solution in place. To prevent the loss of valuable data, we backed it up and imported it directly into Linnworks. Next, the products were imported and their local couriers connected. For those couriers that weren’t supported in Linnworks, we set-up scheduled imports and exports to MyHermes as a workaround.
Once all the selling channels were connected to Linnworks, we created a custom rule set to automatically apply Royal Mail services for UK orders, and DHL services for international and priority orders.
To make sure GB Gift’s employees fully understood the system, we hosted a days training on-site. By working with key members from each team, we could show them how best to use their new order management and stock control system.
GB Gifts now have a way to store daily orders from different selling channels into a single location. This provides them with the opportunity to carry out efficient quality control on listings, improve stock management between stores, and have a data hub for previous orders.
By using Linnworks Query Data functionality, setting up unique permissions for new users and staff members could now be done in seconds. Previously, users would have no choice but to switch between multiple stores and order management solutions to carry out tasks.
After so much research from GB Gifts, the impact of Linnworks was felt immediately. The time taken to fulfil orders went down which is great for productivity, their daily order total is on the up, as well as their reputation as a seller.
